Temenggong Artists-In-Residence was officially established in 2009 to organise arts residencies, exhibitions, talks and workshops. We facilitate robust cross-cultural exchanges and build an art network in Singapore, curating authentic content and events that are both educational and inspiring, thereby creating positive ripple effects for the public. 

Our events remain free for all to attend since 2009. 

The idea of “artists-helping-artists” took root in the 1980s, with our founder’s aim of supporting fellow artists and art projects in his small ways and encouraging the artists to bring it forward. Our arts residencies offer selected local and international artists the opportunity to engage in a variety of arts, social, and community activities that suit their needs.
